Essential Functions

  • Provide administrative support to the Billing Manager and the Billing Assistant Manager
  • Develop and maintain detailed reports
  • Track employees’ timecard reports daily, documenting late clock-ins, use of PTO, etc. and notify management of attendance issues
  • Handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Manage department SharePoint site
  • Train and assist in all billing areas as required
  • Answer patient and facility calls professionally and pleasantly
  • Complete special projects to include plan, coordinate, implement and finalize according to the specifications and deadlines
  • Assist in recruiting process
  • Process departmental new hire requirements
  • Create training binders for each new-hire
  • Regular attendance and timeliness
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations

  • Coordinate team building activities and departmental celebrations/decorating
  • Ensure various documents are updated: Department schedule, employee contact list, employee birthday list, weekly kitchen duty, office phone list
  • Inventory and order departmental supplies
  • Take detailed notes from meetings to be typed and dispersed to appropriate contacts
  • Assist in delegation of tickets assigned in Billing software
  • Work frequent overtime

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Must have excellent Microsoft Office Suites skills
  • Ability to type a minimum of 50 wpm with no errors
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and follow-up
  • Excellent written and verbal telephone skills to include proper grammar with a positive and friendly demeanor
  • Expert in multi-tasking, organizing, and prioritizing a must as well as work independently
  • Ability to relate and communicate with all levels of management
  • Possess a professional approach, positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Strong and effective customer service skills
  • Display excellent judgment and common sense at all time
  • Must be a team player, be flexible, and be a good listener with a high level of patience
  • Manage sensitive, and highly confidential issues
  • Ability to work with time constraints and adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced deadline oriented environment
  • Ability to work overtime if needed
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
