Business Systems Analyst - Plano, TX
The Information Security BSA is a professional with the ability to collaborate with and act as a liaison to multiple and diverse business groups and technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as liaison to other functions or departments, communicating information and contributing to successful completion of tasks and assignments.

  • Participate in a technology and business project and contribute to the successful implementation

  • Participate in influencing process change by leveraging strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Create project deliverables including but not limited to: scope documents, business requirements document, use cases, business process models, etc.

Day to day activities will include:

  • Conduct research and analysis, creating and presenting information and formulating and articulating recommendations to department managers
  • Participate in all phases of analysis and selection of a solution to achieve unit, division and corporate goals

  • Work closely with the PgMO, BSA Center of Excellence and QA Center of Excellence to ensure standards of Projects and System Enhancements are met and delivered
  • Project Delivery - Participate in successful delivery of assigned projects:

  • Identify required stakeholders for each component of the project
  • Create deliverables such as scope documents, business requirements document, use cases, business process models, user manuals, test plans and test results through working closely with all impacted the Business units

  • Work closely with management to gather information to prepare business case and ensure that as-is and to-be states are accurately depicted
  • Execute user acceptance testing and document the results

  • Identify risks and issues and strategize mitigation plans
  • Assist in drafting change management communications material

  • Summarize large volumes of data that is used as an input for analysis
  • Update the project plan

  • Participate in project coordination activities

  • Experience with all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Basic understanding of company and Industry standards and best practices in all areas of technology delivery
  • Ability to effectively interface with all departments of Company
  • Ability to work under general supervision, but utilize independent judgment in details of work
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts
  • Ability to adopt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
  • Strong in use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Some experience in using business analysis tools such as, visualization, and requirements management tools to interpret, condense, and communicate basic graphical and statistical information
  • Preferred license, registration, or certification

Experience / Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline, or equivalent job experience is required.
  • 3 or more years of progressive, broad based IT experience participating in projects and playing a key role toward successful implementation of the projects

Preferred/ Nice-to-haves:
  • Preferred Certifications: Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), IT industry certifications in IT Service management(ITIL)
  • Advanced degree - MBA with a concentration in an IT related area is a plus
  • Experience in Information Security is preferred
  • Experience in some form of Financial industry is preferred
  • Experience with financial audits, SOX controls and other regulatory institutions and practices
