Customer Service Representative

Starting Pay Rate: $18/hour

Temp to perm position.  Once perm after about 3 months, pay rate goes to $13/hour but average of $2500 per  month in bonuses.  For the right type of person, potential to make mid-$50K area first year.

Location: Austin, TX, 35 and Oltorf area

Schedule: Mon-Fri, must be flexible to work between 8: 00 AM and 7: 00 PM.  Saturdays are on a rotation, 1 per month.  Most new people start on the 10: 00 AM to 7: 00 PM schedule.  Performance and seniority will determine any schedule movement.

We are constantly seeking for qualified customer service or call center  professionals to assist us in carrying out our mission to enhance our customers' eye care experience. You will be responsible for handling incoming sales calls and customer service requests for client' s customers. 

Our pay is well above that of most customer service reps - and you have the ability to increase your commissions through performance!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist customers in creating orders for eyewear via phone
  • Process orders entered via the web
  • Assist customers with questions about products, prescriptions, order status, discounts and promotions, etc.
  • Work closely with other departments such as order dept, back order dept, lens lab, marketing, etc.
  • Create and maintain an environment that is fun, educational, and professional.
  • Maintain a continuous effort to obtain company objectives
  • Ability to explain product features and benefits of frames, lenses, sunglasses and contact lenses to customers

Qualifications and Skills
  • Optical experience is REQUIRED for this position.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels in person, via phone, via chat
  • Must be computer-literate

  • High school diploma with 2 years post graduate education preferred.
  • Must have recent Call Center experience
  • Must show very stable job tenure at previous positions.  That means no more than 2 jobs in the last 5 years OR their most recent job, 2 years or more there.
