Job Description:

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of Preservation projects to ensure that goals or
objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and scope of work by performing the following duties personally or through other Team Members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 
  • Reviews project proposal/plan to determine time frame, intercompany breakouts, and procedures for accomplishing project.
  • Reviews projects in Basecamp assigning tasks based on S.O.W.
  • Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
  • Confers with Operations Manager to outline Scope and project overview.
  • Communicates scope and project timeline with production
  • Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area.
  • Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Inspects and measures products to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Reviews Basecamp prior to project delivery to confirm completion of all tasks.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
  • Associate' s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Assists in managing three preservation labs ranging from 60-80 plus employees in the Preservation. Is responsible for the coordination, and evaluation of these units.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization' s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
