QA Project Manager - Plano, TX
POSITION SUMMARY -
  • Company  is seeking a Project Manager to help lead the Quality Assurance workstream within the Core Receivables Program (a major IT implementation). The candidate must demonstrate advanced project management knowledge across the full project lifecycle, with experience in multiple lifecycles (waterfall, package, Agile). Quality Assurance experience is highly desired within a relevant domain such as Automotive Finance, or Banking.
  • Lead QA workstream within a large program
  • Work in cross functional teams, ensure objectives are being delivered on schedule, within scope, and within budget
  • Work closely across workstream teams (QA managers/leads, technical leads, 3rd party vendors, etc.) to ensure cross dependencies and potential conflicts are documented and communicated.
  • Plan for the next phase of the program as it finishes development and enters testing & implementation
  • Keep resources accountable
  • Facilitate meetings with cross functional teams and executives
  • Present status reports to executive level audiences
  • Manage budget, risks, issues, and change requests
  • Use MS Project to manage a schedule
  • Manage vendor relationships/contracts/deliverables

Requirements: 
  • 10-15+ years of Project Management experience
  • 8+ years of QA experience
  • Extensive experience leading agile teams and an expert in the Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Effective management skills in setting direction, building effective teams and driving them to meet objectives
  • Strong development technology background desirable (requirements, architecture, development, application management, maintenance, operations)
  • Expert with MS Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to interface with people at all levels of the organization; technical and business sponsors to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work independently, with strong organizational and flexibility skills in a team-oriented environment
  • Financial management skills, such as budgeting, forecasting and capitalization
  • Vendor/Contract Management experience: Managing multiple vendors and internal resources across work streams simultaneously
  • Preferred:
    • Formal PM training (i.e. PMP or have taken PMI classes)
    • Formal Agile Scrum Master or Agile Project Management Training (i.e. CSM, or have taken classes)
    • Large IT implementation experience
