Senior Financial Analyst (IFRS) - Plano, TX
Position Summary:

To support the Accounting Systems team in managing monthly and quarterly requests for enhancements to accounting financial systems. This position will work directly with the Manager who oversees the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) system as well as the monthly Financial Systems Maintenance (FSM) process. This person will help to plan, analyze, and execute on the various enhancement requests, gather accounting business and system requirements, and follow up on and respond to questions around enhancement requests. More detailed tasks are as follows:
  • Create and manage the FSM Agenda and FSM Committee FSM Administrative
  • Coordinate annual review of reports with various teams Update FSM roles/responsibilities Update distribution lists and SharePoint access Update FSM form for changes Create annual artifact review (rules/reports)
  • Training  - Administrative Coordinate meeting times, conference rooms, meals/snacks, etc. Update training material for delivery. Create and train SME group
  • Update documentation from RISE and IFRS projects Process improvements
  • Document process changes
    • Example: Document/create enhancement process for more significant FSM
  • Execution of Kaizen process
  • Coordinate changes from FSM process Coordinate changes from Automation efforts Explore opportunities to encourage increased usage and adoption of the system by the user community

Requirements:

Must Haves:
  • 4-5 years+ experience with managing, configuring Financial systems
  • Accounting degree (CPA not required but strongly encouraged)
  • Hybrid experience: strong Accounting knowledge and foundation together with a technical system background that can translate Accounting business requirements into technical terms
  • Project mentality - not necessarily a project manage, but someone that understands how to manage a project, project deliverables, deadlines, gathering business requirements, etc.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently, and ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to successfully interact with and influence multiple layers of management and business users
  • Ability to gain consensus and alignment across diverse groups of business and technical users.
  • Proved ability to apply critical thinking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong aptitude to learn, and flexibility required MS Office Proficiency (Excel is mainly used for project tracking or to provide/present information, not for formulas or calculations)

Preferred/ Nice-to-haves:
  • HFM system experience
  • Delivery of training to small-medium sized groups
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Hands-on experience with financial systems projects
  • CPA strongly preferred
