Vendor Continuity Analyst - Plano, TX
This Business Continuity Management Vendor Continuity Analyst (BCM-VC) position will be responsible for daily Business Continuity Management (BCM) related task in support the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Program. The BCM Program consists of the following pillars:
  • Business Recovery (BR) 
  • Technology Recovery (TR) fka Disaster Recovery (DR)
  • Vendor Continuity (VC)
  • Emergency Management (EM)
  • Crisis Management (CM)

This BCM VC Analyst (BCM-VC) will report to the Business Continuity Program Manager and will be primarily responsible for the development, integration and implementation of the Enterprise BCM Vendor Continuity (VC) program as well as developing, maintaining, maturing, and administering Company' s Business Recovery and Technology Recovery Program components.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Functional Responsibilities (70%): Review Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDSs), and Statements of Work (SOWs) to ensure Business Continuity and Technology Recovery requirements are documented meeting the minimum requirements identified by the Business Units
  • Oversee, Facilitate, Conduct validation / audits efforts of vendors to ensure compliance of contractual obligations as defined in signed contract as it pertains to BCM
  • Business Recovery, Technology Recovery, Vendor Plan Maintenance and Reporting
  • Data integration within Sustainable Planner (Recovery Plan platform) as well as the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
  • Monitoring, coordination and reporting of status on plan development
  • Monitoring and coordination of regular plan updates
  • Coordination of exercise and testing of plans including reporting on plan status and lessons learned
  • Assessment of plan components, appropriateness, availability, storage and maturing plan
  • Program development and expansion, maturing the program
  • Develop and provide input to the department on strategy for Technology (Disaster) Recovery
  • Identify process/operational gaps and propose solutionsMaintain awareness of emerging trends in business continuity and technology (disaster) recovery
  • Development and maintenance of BCM policies, standards and procedures
  • Oversight, coordination and participation in bi-annual Business Impact and Technical Impact Analysis and any follow up activities
  • Participate in Crisis Management/Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) exercises
  • Liaison (5%): Respond to Internal/External audit requests and collaborate/participate in meeting regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Liaise with other all areas of the organization on their Business Continuity, Technology Recovery, and Vendor Continuity plans
  • General (25%) Managing the vendor relationships as it pertains to BCMDocument process flows and diagrams
  • Translate between business units and technology teams for Business Continuity and Technology Recovery needs
  • Provide input on awareness on topics that apply to Business Continuity and Technology Recovery as they apply to the BCM program
  • Participate in projects and/or committees/groups representing BCM interests
  • Other duties as assigned

  • TFS is looking for individuals with strong a business sense and practical expertise.
  • Successful candidates should have:
    • SQL - Preferred Database Administration - Preferred
    • Dashboards - Preferred
    • Crystal Reports - Preferred
  • Technical Requirements:
    • Must have minimum 2 years experience working in the Business Continuity/Technology (Disaster)
    • Recovery field and have a basic understanding of the IT environment
    • Experience with Business Continuity/Technology (Disaster)
    • Recovery plan management, software systems and industry tools/templates
  • Experience/Educational requirements:
    • CBCP - preferred
    • Conducted various Business Continuity/Disaster (Technology) Recovery exercises/plan evaluations - Preferred
    • Knowledge of BCTR and IT Security frameworks and regulations ISO 27000, 27031, 23001, PCI, GLBA etc.)
    • BS or BA degree in related field or equivalent work experienceProject management experience
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to manage information and apply it to specific audiences (critical for position)
